What is oestrogen
Oestrogen hormones are  secreted within the walls of the ovaries. 
"oestrogen, is a category of sex hormone responsible for the development and regulation of the female reproductive system and secondary sex characteristics. 

There are three major endogenous estrogens that have Oestrogenic hormonal activity: Oestrone, Oestradiol, and Oestriol"

Oestrogen hormone is secreted by the ovaries. In women, estrogen helps initiate sexual development. Along with another female sex hormone known as progesterone, it also regulates a woman's egg production

What is the ovary?
The ovary is an organ found in the female reproductive system that produces an ovum. When released, this travels down the fallopian tube into the uterus, where it may become fertilized by a sperm.

How to recognise Oestrogen difficency symptoms
Common symptoms of low estrogen include:

painful sex due to a lack of vaginal lubrication
an increase in urinary tract infections (UTIs) due to a thinning of the urethra
irregular or absent periods
mood swings
hot flashes
breast tenderness

Functions of the oestrogen hormones of the body
The following are the functions of the Oestrogen hormones

1. another function of the progesterone is that helps maintain the foetus during it's development in the uterus, hence it is called pregnancy hormone.
